1. KEYLOR NAVAS 3.0
Would have had to keep his concentration as it was a long time before he was tested between the sticks. Made some good saves in the end, but ones you would expect him to make.
2. DANIEL CARVAJAL 3.5
Was up and down the right wing all evening as his fitness levels really impressed. Didn’t allow Filipe in behind on the overlap and linked up impressively with Bale on the wing.
5. RAPHAEL VARANE 3.5
Was dominant aerially and headed countless crosses out of the box from wide areas. Made a cracking block from Carrasco in the dying minutes.
6. NACHO FERNANDEZ 3.5
Acquitted himself impressive at the back and saved Madrid with a couple of outstanding interceptions, with one saving a certain goal from a Griezmann attempt.
12. MARCELO 3.5
Typically attempted to burst forward whenever he could and provided much needed width to get crosses into the box. Never allowed Saul inside from the right wing.
17. LUCAS VAZQUEZ 3.5
Was deployed to be more of a thorn in the side of the Atletico defence rather than a chief creator or finisher, and handled his task well as he continually pressed and buzzed around up top.
16. MATEO KOVACIC 3.0
Full of energy in the opening stages and seemed to prosper in the frenetic tempo with plenty of tackles and passes being exchanged. Drifted out of prominence as the game went on, however.
19. LUKA MODRIC 3.5
With Kroos injured, the spotlight was on him to create in more advanced areas than usual with Kovacic sitting deeper. Picked out some nice diagonal balls to the channels and tested Oblak with a decent left-footed attempt from range.
22. ISCO 4.0
Enjoyed his night tonight as he oozed confidence every time he was on the ball. Made the correct choice in possession every time and had a hand in the third with a lovely searching pass for Bale.
11. GARETH BALE 4.0
Drifted in and out of the game but as it became more stretched he displayed his true quality. Recorded a brilliand assist with a speedy run and subsequent cross into the box for Ronaldo.
7. CRISTIANO RONALDO 5.0
Proved himself as the decisive factor again for Madrid as he bagged a hat-trick away from home. Sent a deflected free-kick home, won and scored a penalty, then displayed his electric pace to get on the end of a Bale cross for a simple finish.
9. KARIM BENZEMA 3.0
Looked full of energy in his short time on the pitch.
10. JAMES RODRIGUEZ 3.0
Never made a big impact.
20. MARCO ASENSIO 3.0
One or two touches here and there.
