Carvajal: Real Madrid’s opponents are scoring from very few opportunities

After a third consecutive LaLiga draw saw Real Madrid dislodged from top spot in the league table, Daniel Carvajal raised concerns over his team’s performances on both ends of the pitch.

The right-back was unable to prevent Fran Rico from giving Eibar a 6th minute lead, and while Gareth Bale equalised soon after, Los Blancos were unable to go on and complete a comeback victory.

“Our opponents are scoring against us from very few opportunities, and we have to change that,” Carvajal said in his post-match comments.

The 24-year-old also admitted that his side were disappointing going forward.

“We are missing that last bit of creativity in the final quarter of the pitch, but we shouldn’t be pessimistic.

“I think that with a little more luck, we might have won these last four matches.”

Real Madrid’s next assignment will see them travel to Real Betis after the international break, in a game that Carvajal and colleagues will be under enormous pressure to win.

“There aren’t major worries, but we have to improve now and get the three points against Betis.”
