Cristiano Ronaldo sets incredible new record with Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo may not be in his best goal-scoring form, but he’s still breaking records with Real Madrid.

The 31-year-old, who had scored just once in his last five La Liga games, silenced his doubters with a hat-trick in the 4-1 victory over Alaves on Saturday.

And by scoring his first treble of the campaign, Ronaldo has now found the net against all 31 teams he’s ever faced in La Liga.

Ronaldo has scored 265 goals in 243 La Liga games since joining from Manchester United in 2009, although 53 of those have been from the penalty spot.

‘When Cristiano scores and even better when he scores three,’ said Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.

‘[Ronaldo] does his talking on the pitch. His performance was good in all aspects. Cristiano showed patience today. He has proven the hard work he’s been doing.’
