13. KIKO CASILLA 3.0
Got away with a huge blunder when flapping at a cross that should have seen Deportivo level at 2-2.

23. DANILO 3.5
Much improved in his last few outings, albeit still someway off the level offered by Dani Carvajal.

5. RAPHAEL VARANE 3.0
Bedded back into the team with 87 minutes and untroubled bar one good 10-minute Deportivo spell.

6. NACHO FERNANDEZ 3.0
Great night for Nacho picking up seven clearances along with five interceptions and 95% passing.

12. MARCELO 3.5
Is there a better attacking full-back in world football? Another assist to take his tally to 13 this season.

10. JAMES RODRIGUEZ 4.0
He was ridiculous tonight, almost a tie for MOTM. James was a lot of fun to watch. Whether he was on the ball or off the ball he was always doing something.

16. MATEO KOVACIC 4.0
Brilliant deputising in the holding midfield role and with far more of an eye for a forward pass than Casemiro.

22. ISCO 4.5
Definitely the Man Of The Match for me. It didn’t take long for the disco to start and it went all night long. He picked up the assist on Morata’s first goal and then got his own goal in the 78th minute.

17. LUCAS VAZQUEZ 3.5
A constant threat on the right, got his goal but should have had more. He completed 37 of 44 passes on the night and logged a full 90 minutes.

21. ALVARO MORATA 4.0
Similar to Vazquez should have scored far more than his solitary goal, but got Madrid off to the perfect start and teed up James’s second.

20. MARCO ASENSIO 4.0
A star is born. Incredible ability to dribble at full pace and pick out the final pass.

14. CASEMIRO 3.5
Nn the 87th minute he would blast a ball from distance and rattle the twine with Real Madrid’s final goal of the evening. Other than that, he didn’t have any other type of real impact on the match.

18. MARIANO DIAZ N/A
He came on at the same time as Casemiro, replacing Asensio. He’d have a slight look at goal with a header over the bar but other than that no real impact with only minutes left to play.

27. ALVARO TEJERO N/A
He would make his senior team debut coming on for Raphael Varane in the 88th minute. Terjero would then go out and get kicked in the face. Welcome to La Liga, kid.
