A return to the side in recent weeks has been very welcome for Keylor Navas but yet another draw has dampened spirits around Real Madrid.
Going into the international break on the back of four consecutive winless games, the worst of which arriving on Sunday against Eibar, the Costa Rican maintains that Los Blancos are way off their expectations.
“To draw at home is not nice, it’s true that we must improve, we need to work harder and are hurting,” Navas told reporters after the game.
“The fans demand a lot of us, pay a lot to watch us and want us to win, it’s the same when we play away. When the results don’t go our way, [the supporters] leave the stadium as annoyed as we do.”
No longer atop the table, Real are left to dwell on their lack of victories for an extended period as LaLiga briefly terminates for the international break.
