1. KEYLOR NAVAS 3.0
Made a great save in the final minute to deny De Bruyne.

15. DANIEL CARVAJAL 2.5
Almost grabbed an assist when his perfectly-weighted cross found Jese, who headed against the woodwork.

3. PEPE 4.0
One of his best performances in some time, the Portuguese was influential in limiting the impact of Aguero, and would have scored himself if not for Hart’s great save.

4. SERGIO RAMOS 3.0
Should have done better with a free header from a croner shortly after the interval, but he was solid at the back.

12. MARCELO 3.0
A typically vibrant display from the forward-thinking full-back, who won some vital free-kicks for his side at both ends of the pitch.

19. LUKA MODRIC 3.0
Like Kroos, his impact was limited up until City’s midfielders began to tire. From that point on, he began to run the show for Madrid.

14. CASEMIRO 2.5
A disciplined showing from the burly defensive midfielder, who kept possession ticking over nicely for the visitors.

8. TONI KROOS 2.5
Not at his most influential due to the constant pressing of Fernando and Fernandinho.

11. GARETH BALE 3.5
Heavily involved in most of Madrid’s threatening moves, but he could not provide the quality needed to make the breakthrough.

9. KARIM BENZEMA 2.5
Did not have much involvement before been taken off at half-time, possibly due to an injury.

18. LUCAS VAZQUEZ 2.0
Unfortunately for the youngster, he could not come close to filling the void left by Ronaldo’s absence, though he did not shirk his defensive responsibilities.

20. JESE 3.0
Added pace and a spark to Madrid’s stagnant attack. Unlucky not to score when his looping header rattled the crossbar.

22. ISCO 2.5
Given very little time to make an impact.
