13. KIKO CASILLA 3.0
Deputised for Navas well and can be happy with his performance between the sticks. Proactively came off his line all the time to pounce on possession.

23. DANILO 3.0
A more positive game going forward as his crossing caused problems. However, still suspect defensively and struggled against both Rodrigo and Santi Mina.

2. RAPHAEL VARANE 2.5
Gifted Valencia a way back into the game with an awful clearance straight to the edge of the box for Rodrigo to score. Pace was an asset at the back, though.

4. SERGIO RAMOS 3.0
Made some heroic tackles as Madrid attempted to see out the win late on. Until that point, was commanding with his heading of crosses out of the box.

12. MARCELO 3.0
Athleticism was vital in the latter stage as Madrid attempted to see out the lead. Recorded an assist for the first goal with a pass in to Ronaldo.

10. JAMES RODRIGUEZ 2.5
Given a rare start by Zidane but still seems to be struggling with a crisis of confidence. Should have grabbed a goal from 10 yards out but didn’t feel comfortable shooting with his weaker foot.

14. CASEMIRO 3.0
Went into the book for a poor tackle on Alcacer, but marshalled the area in front of the defence well enough.

8. TONI KROOS 3.0
Controlled the match from the central areas but struggled a bit without Modric around him as his passing was far too safe.

18. LUCAS VAZQUEZ 3.5
Was full of running throughout the game, which stretched the Valencia defence. However, was only a fleeting direct threat towards goal once of twice.

9. KARIM BENZEMA 3.5
Movement opened up plenty of space for the other attackers and grabbed a deserved goal, albeit in controversal fashion, with a close-range finish into the corner.

7. CRISTIANO RONALDO 4.0
Proved to be the matchwinner on the day with two expert finishes, even if he was fairly quiet for the majority of this time on the pitch.

16. MATEO KOVACIC 3.0
Decent cameo off the bench.

20. JESE RODRIGUEZ
Late change.

17. ALVARO ARBELOA
Late change for his last Santiago Bernabeu appearance.
