1. KEYLOR NAVAS 3.5
Was only called into action a couple of times but looked comfortable with fairly routine saves.

23. DANILO 2.5
Got into some decent positions in the final third but attempted to score with a couple of hopeless left-footed strikes on goal that didn’t pose any threat.

2. RAPHAEL VARANE 1.5
Bad run of form continues for the Frenchman. Allowed runs in behind far too easily, while his marking of the attacking players was non-existant.

4. SERGIO RAMOS 3.5
Ensured Madrid kept at it even with the scoreline frustatingly being kept at 0-0 for the majority of play. Earned his customary yellow card with a late tackle.

6. NACHO FERNANDEZ 2.5
Looked comfortable getting forward from the left-hand side of defence but kept things simple in advanced areas by retaining possession.

19. LUKA MODRIC 3.5
Took a little while to find his fee but eventually looked confident bursting forward. Defensive work was exellent as he could regularly be found at the back getting blocks in on shots.

14. CASEMIRO 2.5
Sprayed a couple of decent balls to the wings but just does not have the authoritative aura to control those central areas to great affect.

10. JAMES RODRIGUEZ 3.0
Was one of Madrid’s better players in the first half and put in a couple of perfect crosses into the box for Bale. Drifted out of prominence as the game went on, though.

18. LUCAS VAZQUEZ 3.5
Buzzed around and was a thorn in the side of the opposition defence. Never posed a direct threat towards goal but set up the winner with a great cross for Bale.

29. BORJA MAYORAL 2.5
Probably unfair to be thrown in in such an important match, as he looked scared to ask the ball from the superstars around him. Replaced by Jese.

11. GARETH BALE 4.0
Looked like it was going to be a frustrating afernoon as headers went wide and strikes were saved by Rulli, but eventually popped up as the hero with a brilliant header.

20. JESE RODRIGUEZ 3.0
Had one effort towards the front post which was saved.

22. ISCO 3.0
Never had a lot of time to dislpay his quality.

16. MATEO KOVACIC
Late change.
