Isco’s precarious position in the Real Madrid squad is once again piquing the interest of Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham, who are planning an effort to sign the midfielder in January.
The London-based team has been interested in the 24-year-old for some time and were linked with him last summer, only for no transfer to materialise.
Given Pochettino’s interest in the player, the club’s chairman Daniel Levy is considering making a bid in January, in order to avoid the increased competition for his signature that waiting until next summer could entail.
Although Isco has previously told MARCA that his preference is to continue at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, he is also willing to move elsewhere if there is no future for him in Madrid.
It remains to be seen whether or not Los Blancos would accept Tottenham’s offer, especially considering how difficult Levy made it for the club to sign Gareth Bale in the summer of 2013.
